- estimating the bearing on the iPhone 3G without compass is harder than you think. We removed the code to check if you are following the path in reverse. Now you will never hear the message "You are going the wrong way" while following the path.
- for visually impaired users of the iPhone 3GS we added an angle to rotate callout just after a route has been calculated. Head North -60. means you should first turn 60 degrees counterclockwise and then proceed. Option needs to be activated in the iPhone VoxTrek Settings/Say Heading Angle.

- driving navigation calculation takes into account the initial heading of your car. This helps calculating the route when you are on a highway. It also helps when your vehicle is bearing in the wrong way to indicate where to make a U-turn .
-new menu system with icons to allow using more tool buttons
- fixes to the tile engine to make the download of maps rock solid. Impossible to confuse the tile loader when zooming very rapidly and requesting 200 tiles to be download.

Version 1.4 : 1/1/2010

- improved current location determination. The settings screen is now usable. If you set the minimum accuracy to 100m VoxTrek will quickly find a location close to you upto 100m.
- fixed the navigation location determination when navigating to a point of interest selected from the POI catalog (previously only the north pole was shown)
- Google Maps and Terrain are displayed properly now. This is mainly for countries where OpenStreetMaps are incomplete. Our friends in Japan will be very happy now.

- path is fully drawn when scrolling the map (performance is slow for very long journeys). When navigation is resumed after 10 seconds an optimized fast path is redrawn.
